Bhubaneswar: About 20,000 persons from 24 States including Odisha gathered at the Lower PMG Square in Bhubaneswar on Monday at the 22nd, All India Conference of All India United Trade Union Centre (AIUTUC) and took a vow to launch a movement against the anti- labour policies of the Central and State governments.
The speakers urged for an united trade union movement on the international level to fight against the menace of war and economic exploitation by imperialist and capitalist countries. They also gave the call to the people to defeat the communal forces those are trying to break the unity of the working class people fighting against sky rocketing price rise, unemployment, illiteracy and lack of health facilities.
The meeting was presided over by AIUTUC all India president K Radhakrishna. AIUTUC Odisha State secretary Jaysen Meher delivered the welcome address. The mammoth gathering was addressed by Worker Federation of Trade Union (WFTU) president Mzwandile Michael Makwayina..
