Senior political leader Dilip Ray on Monday announced through social media that he has been elected to the Rajya Sabha from Odisha. Sharing the update on the social media platform X, Ray expressed heartfelt gratitude to the legislators who supported him in the election.
Interestingly, his post came even before the official declaration of the Rajya Sabha election results.
Dilip Ray Thanks MLAs for Their Support
In his message, Dilip Ray said the victory was not his alone but reflected the trust and goodwill of several legislators who supported him beyond party lines.
He wrote that the victory symbolises the faith shown by MLAs who chose to vote according to their conscience rather than strict party directives.
Ray specifically thanked members of the Bharatiya Janata Party for their unwavering support during the election.

Apart from BJP legislators, Ray also expressed sincere thanks to MLAs from the Biju Janata Dal, the Indian National Congress, and independent members who cast their votes in his favour.
