Historic MoU Signed in Goa
In a landmark development, KIIT-DU has entered into a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Fédération Internationale des Échecs (FIDE) and the All India Chess Federation (AICF) in Goa. The MoU paves the way for hosting the International Conference on Social and Educational Chess in January 2026.
This milestone collaboration highlights India’s growing role in the global chess ecosystem and marks another proud achievement for KIIT, KISS, and Odisha.

The partnership reflects the growing trust of international sports bodies in KIIT and KISS and their belief in education through sports. Over the years, the institutions have consistently championed the integration of academics with sportsmanship, discipline, and excellence.
KIIT has earlier collaborated with leading global sports organizations such as FIVB (Volleyball), FIFA (Football), and several national federations. The association with FIDE, the world’s apex chess authority, now adds another golden chapter to KIIT’s expanding legacy in sports education and social development.

The MoU signing ceremony witnessed the presence of FIDE President Mr. Arkady Dvorkovich, Grandmaster Viswanathan Anand, AICF President Shri Nitin Narang, and other distinguished guests.
