The mysterious murder of Satyabrata in Bhubaneswar’s Niladri Vihar area has finally been solved, with police confirming that the crime stemmed from a tragic love triangle.
Accused Surrenders Before Police
Addressing the media, ACP Sonal Singh Parmar stated that Dinesh is the sole accused in the case. He voluntarily surrendered before the police and was subsequently taken into custody.
“It was a clear case of a love triangle that led to murder,” ACP Parmar said during the press briefing.
Troubled Relationship Behind the Crime
According to the investigation, Dinesh and Lisa were previously in a live-in relationship. Following their breakup, Dinesh relocated to Jagatsinghpur. However, tensions resurfaced on the day of the incident when Dinesh repeatedly tried to contact Lisa but received no response.
Driven by suspicion and jealousy, he rushed to Lisa’s rented accommodation in Niladri Vihar. Upon seeing Lisa with Satyabrata, Dinesh allegedly attacked both of them in a fit of rage.
Lisa Found Innocent in Probe
Police clarified that Lisa had no involvement in the murder. Investigators revealed that she attempted to protect Satyabrata during the attack, further confirming her innocence.
Authorities have also ruled out the possibility of any larger conspiracy behind the crime.
Crime Scene Recreation Planned
To establish the exact sequence of events, police will soon conduct a crime scene reconstruction with Dinesh present. This step is expected to help investigators piece together the final moments leading up to the murder.
Vehicle Returned to Owner
Meanwhile, the car that Satyabrata was driving at the time of the incident has been returned to its owner. In a related development, the vehicle owner reportedly hired another driver who later met with an accident while allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol.
