If you have a domestic LPG connection, there is an important update regarding e-KYC. The deadline for completing Aadhaar-based biometric e-KYC has been extended to August 31, 2026, giving consumers additional time to complete the verification.
The verification applies to domestic LPG consumers who have not yet completed their e-KYC. Consumers are advised not to wait until the last day, as failure to complete the process could lead to difficulties with LPG services, including cylinder booking and access to domestic-price benefits, until verification is completed.
The primary objective of the e-KYC exercise is to verify genuine LPG consumers and help prevent duplicate or inactive connections and misuse of subsidised domestic LPG. The process is part of efforts to make LPG distribution more transparent and ensure benefits reach eligible consumers.
How to Complete LPG e-KYC
Consumers can complete the process from home using the official mobile application of their LPG provider along with the Aadhaar FaceRD application. The official PMUY website also provides instructions for self face-based biometric Aadhaar authentication.
Indane customers can use the IndianOil ONE app, Bharatgas customers can use the Hello BPCL app, while HP Gas consumers can use the HP Pay app. Consumers can also visit their authorised LPG distributor for assistance if they face difficulties completing the online process.
Consumers who have already completed their e-KYC do not need to repeat the process. Those whose verification is still pending should complete it before August 31 to avoid possible disruption to LPG services.
