The traditional Milan Studio of Cuttack wore a sombre look following the heartbreaking death of popular Odia playback singer Humane Sagar. The studio holds a special place in Sagar’s journey, as it was here that he recorded his first film song in 2012, a moment that marked the beginning of his musical career. Over the years, it had become his favourite creative space.
Artists Hold Silent Prayer in Tribute
A quiet prayer meeting was organised at Milan Studio today, attended by music director Premanand and several artists from the Odia music fraternity. The studio fell silent as musicians remembered Sagar’s contribution to the industry and the countless songs he had recorded within those walls.
In a heartfelt gesture, studio owner Rashmiranjan Das announced that the microphone used by Humane Sagar during his debut recording would be preserved forever. He stated that no one else would be permitted to use it, turning it into a permanent memorial honoring the singer’s legacy.
Singer Battled Severe Health Issues
Humane Sagar had been unwell for several days and was kept on ventilator support as his health deteriorated. Doctors monitored him closely during a critical 72-hour observation period. Despite their best efforts, his condition did not improve. The singer passed away while still undergoing treatment, sending shockwaves through the Odia music and film industry.
