Odisha has taken a major step towards building a future-ready workforce with the exchange of multiple Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with strategic industry and academic partners at a special ceremony held at the World Skill Center in Bhubaneswar.
The partnerships aim to strengthen skill development, technical education, industry collaboration, innovation, Centres of Excellence and employment opportunities for the state’s youth.
Focus on Future Skills
Addressing the gathering, Industries, Skill Development & Technical Education Minister Sampad Chandra Swain said the MoUs represent significant investments in human capital. He said the collaborations would help create a skilled workforce capable of meeting the requirements of Odisha’s growing industrial ecosystem while expanding opportunities for quality training, employment and career growth.
The partnerships will focus on emerging and high-growth sectors, including artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, cybersecurity, robotics, semiconductors, green jobs and automotive technology.
Industry-Led Training and Employment
The MoUs will support the establishment and strengthening of Centres of Excellence, industry-led training, curriculum reforms, trainer capacity building, knowledge exchange, apprenticeships and placement opportunities.
The initiative will also expose learners to advanced technologies and industry practices, helping align technical education and skill training with changing market requirements.
Inclusive and Sustainable Growth
The collaboration places emphasis on future skills, digital transformation, innovation and green growth. It also seeks to expand opportunities for women and underprivileged communities in technical education and skilled employment.
The strategic partners include 1M1B Foundation, Calderys, CIEL HR Services, Cloos India, Delphi-TVS Technologies, F5 India, Godrej Consumer Products, iFOREST, Mahindra Holidays & Resorts, OASME, Semantics, Siksha O Anusandhan University, THK India and Utkal University.
Senior officials and industry leaders also attended the ceremony.
