The much-anticipated two-day Pakhala Paraba 2026 was inaugurated today at Panthanivas, Bhubaneswar, celebrating Odisha’s rich culinary traditions with grandeur and cultural vibrancy.

The inaugural session was addressed by Director of the Department of Tourism, Shri Deepankar Mahapatra. The event is set to continue tomorrow in the presence of Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi and Deputy Chief Minister Smt. Pravati Parida, along with other dignitaries.

The opening session featured insightful keynote addresses by Padmashree Dr. Ashok Kumar Mahapatra, Prof. Dr. Sitikantha Mishra, and Mr. Sandip Mukherjee.

  • Around 800–850 kg of Pakhala is being prepared

  • Initiative highlights nutritional value and agricultural richness

  • Organized in collaboration with the Robin Hood Army

  • Strict zero-wastage policy will be followed
