PM Modi’s Fiery Speech at NDA Meet: Mocks Opposition, Pushes Tiranga Yatra

The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, received a rousing welcome on Tuesday at an exuberant parliamentary party meeting at the Parliament House by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) MPs. It was the initial meeting in the monsoon session. Amidst a lot of clapping and chants of Jai Shri Ram and Har Har Mahadev, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh hung a garland around the neck of Modi to congratulate the completion of Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev. These are the robust Indian military countermeasures to the terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22. Individuals of great significance to the NDA were in attendance; they included the Home Minister Amit Shah, the BJP President JP Nadda, the Union Minister Prahlad Joshi and the MP Kangana Ranaut. Modi was harsh on the opposition because of their ideas on the operations, noting that they were shooting themselves in the foot by demanding a parliamentary debate.

Hurray Modi!

The NDA parliamentary took place in the Parliament Library Building, demonstrating the strength and determination with which they were together. By the time Modi arrived, the MPs cheered loudly in support of the armed forces after its prompt and powerful punches against the terrorist plot in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. All of them were united in the need to celebrate the leadership of Modi and the courage of the Indian armed forces in conducting Operation Sindoor and Operation Hadev. The treaty identified three major aspects: the call for a sturdy response to terrorism, rapid response to strike its foundation, and intolerance to nuclear blackmailing or the existence of a gap between state-sponsored terrorism and individual terrorists.

The Prime Minister too met the new MPs, and they also expressed their grief to the family of the 26 people who were killed during the Pahalgam attack. This was highly nationalist, and MPs commended the operations as evidence of the increasing military power and autonomy of India, particularly their use of local drones and missiles.

Modi Takes a Swipe at Opposition

In addressing the audience, Modi forthrightly rebuked the opposition, particularly the Congress-led INDIA group, for the grievances voiced regarding Operation Sindoor. He pointed out that they had a goof when they wanted a parliamentary debate, as this reflected their contradictions. What place is there to get an opposition that kicks itself? To joke, Modi said, they had asked to be given a discussion, and this would mean asking to be given a hard time. He referred to a recent remark made by the Supreme Court on the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, further stating, What will we say? No? The Supreme Court has already made a comment.

Modi answered the opposition, telling them that they should be having these talks daily, that national security is his business, and that he has aid above him in these affairs. The opposition got it wrong when it requested such a debate. They do something to themselves, he said, then made NDA MPs laugh. He also criticised Congress, asking when Operation Mahadev took place and allegedly telling the story of Pakistan, which was also stated by the Home Minister Amit Shah and the Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju.

Road Maps on What’s Next

Other than discussing the achievements in the military, Modi encouraged NDA MPs to participate in activities such as the Tiranga Yatra and National Sports Day within their region. He claimed that it was necessary to reach out to people during such events in order to enhance a local presence of the alliance. The prime minister also discussed his plans of combating the anti-party agitations of the opposition and of countering the protest called the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter lists in Bihar, which has effectively stalled the parliamentary process for more than two weeks.

There had been some cases of BJP leaders saying things that had caused problems, and this was after Modi had earlier advised the same in May when he had addressed an NDA chief ministers meeting and had asked them to be careful so as not to create problems.

Protests by Opposition and Parliamentary Blocked

The ongoing Monsoon Session, which began on July 21, has largely been stalled as the opposition complains again and again about the Bihar SIR, which it claims is a political ploy to alter voter lists. Congress MP Pramod Tiwari described the move as a murder of democracy, as 65 lakh voters were removed from the rolls of Bihar. The INDIA bloc have vowed to ensure their protests are larger, and one has been organised at the Makar Dwar of Parliament with the slogan Our Vote, Our Right, Our Fight.

Although the opposition agreed with the armed forces on the discussion of Operation Sindoor, political figures such as Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge claimed that the government was trying to gain characters in political popularity and neglecting security issues in Pahalgam. Modi responded to these allegations, saying that the action that levelled nine terror camps in only 22 minutes was a demonstration of strength showing that India was strong and a stern message was being sent to Pakistan.

United NDA Turns the Corner

The NDA meet demonstrated the trust the partners had in Modi’s leadership as it prepares to face the vice-presidential election nominations beginning August 7, in which its numbers would ensure that it most likely wins. Things might go crazy in Parliament this week, and the government intends to push five crucial bills, including the National Anti-Doping Act and the National Sports Governance Bill, 2025.

With Modi and the NDA set to face these issues, the hoopla behind the success of Operation Sindoor has been beneficial towards their tale of effective leadership and patriotism. It is at the moment that one hears the slogan of Har Har Mahadev not just at Parliament but all across the country in a show of strength against perceived external aggression and internal political rivals as well.
