: Railway job aspirants have a fresh opportunity as the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has started the recruitment process for 3,993 Junior Engineer (JE) posts. The online application process began on August 14, 2026, and eligible candidates can apply online until September 13, 2026.
According to the recruitment schedule, the last date for fee payment is September 15, while the application correction window will remain open from September 16 to September 25, 2026.
Salary and Age Limit
Selected candidates for the Junior Engineer posts will receive a monthly salary of up to ₹35,400. The prescribed age limit is 18 to 33 years. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be eligible for age relaxation as per government rules.
The application fee is ₹500 for candidates from the unreserved category. SC, ST, women and PwBD candidates will have to pay ₹250.
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected through Computer Based Test (CBT) 1, CBT 2, Document Verification and Medical Examination.
The recruitment examination will include negative marking. One-third of the marks allotted to a question will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
Candidates who qualify in CBT 1 will be shortlisted for CBT 2. The second-stage examination will consist of 150 questions carrying a total of 150 marks.
