5.4 Magnitude Tremor Strikes Pakistan Early Morning; People Rush Out of Homes, No Major Damage Reported So Far

A strong earthquake struck parts of Pakistan on Saturday morning, triggering panic among residents who rushed out of their homes after feeling intense tremors. The earthquake was part of a series of natural disasters being reported across different parts of the world in recent days.

According to earthquake monitoring agencies, the tremor occurred at around 8:53 AM local time on Saturday. The earthquake measured 5.4 magnitude on the Richter scale, as per preliminary information from seismic monitoring authorities.

The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported that the earthquake originated at an estimated depth of around 35 kilometres beneath the Earth’s surface. Data from the National Centre for Seismology indicated that the epicentre was located approximately 40 to 75 kilometres below the surface of Pakistan.

Soon after the tremors were felt, several residents in affected areas were seen rushing outside their homes in fear. People gathered in open spaces as a precautionary measure following the sudden shaking.

However, no reports of major damage or casualties have been received so far. Authorities are continuing to monitor the situation and assess any possible impact in the affected regions.
