Popular Street Festival Set for a Comeback

The much-loved Patha Utsav is all set to return to Bhubaneswar in the last week of December, bringing back the city’s vibrant tradition of community celebrations and outdoor cultural activities.

Three Zones to Host the Event

According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Chanchal Rana, the festival will be organised in three different zones of the city from late December to mid-January.

He confirmed that the event will be conducted every Sunday from 7 AM to 10 AM at designated locations.
“We plan to organise Patha Utsav during the last week of December and the first half of January. Our aim is to host it regularly on the last Sunday of December and the first two Sundays of January, separately across three zones,” the Commissioner said.

Cultural Activities to Enliven Winter Mornings

This year’s Patha Utsav aims to offer a refreshing outdoor experience during the winter mornings, complete with:

• Dance

• Music

• Painting

• Skating

• Interactive cultural and entertainment activities

The focus is on celebrating community spirit and encouraging public participation through creative engagement.

Ekamra Walks Returns with Special IRC Edition

In parallel, the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) has relaunched the 9th edition of Ekamra Walks, synchronised with the ongoing Indian Road Congress (IRC) event at Janata Maidan.

Key attractions include:

Ekamra Heritage Walk

A curated journey through the historic Ekamra Kshetra, offering insights into the city’s ancient temple architecture and heritage.

Dhauli Peace Walk

A symbolic experience reflecting Emperor Ashoka’s transformation after the Kalinga War.

Other Themed Walks

• Spiritual Trail

• Mystic Odyssey

• Odia Literature Walk

Each walk provides participants with a unique perspective on Bhubaneswar’s diverse cultural, historical, and spiritual landscape.
