The party has instructed its MLAs to appear in person to submit their nomination papers on March 5, signaling the urgency and importance of the upcoming polls. Present at the meeting were:

The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has already declared Dr. Hota an “official candidate,” a decision supported by Bhakta Das, President of the Pradesh Congress Committee.

The absence of Congress MLAs Ramesh Jena and Sophia Firdaus has been noted, fueling speculation about internal differences and alliances in the run-up to the elections.

BJD Nominates Dr. Santrupt Misra

The BJD has also announced its nominees for the Rajya Sabha polls, including Dr. Santrupt Misra, who is expected to contest under the party symbol.
