The Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) today hosted the 3rd edition of the KIMS Conclave, bringing together senior medical practitioners, AIIMS directors and public health experts from across Odisha and India. The inaugural KIMS Health Hero Award – Health Empowerment in Rural Odisha (HERO) was presented to Dr Sibananda Mohanty for his exemplary contributions to community engagement, malaria control and maternal healthcare in the remote regions of Mayurbhanj district.

Founder of KIIT, KISS and KIMS, Dr Achyuta Samanta, expressed gratitude for the presence of senior healthcare leaders and reiterated his core vision: service to society.

Announcing a major expansion plan, Dr Samanta declared that 20 KIMS rural hospitals, each equipped with 100 beds and advanced medical technology, will soon be established to ensure quality healthcare for underserved communities.
