Former BJD MP and senior lawyer Pinaki Misra finds himself entangled in grave allegations of financial fraud, money laundering, and activities that allegedly pose a threat to India’s national security. Two formal complaints have been filed against him with the Union Home Ministry and the Enforcement Directorate (ED), focusing on suspicious property dealings, foreign fund transfers through trusts, unexplained cash deposits during demonetisation, and sensitive parliamentary interventions on defence matters.

The scandal takes a deeper turn with the mention of Misra’s wife, TMC MP Mahua Moitra, who reportedly married him in a private ceremony in Germany earlier this year. The complaints allege that both Misra and Moitra collectively conspired in these questionable acts. Furthermore, accusations suggest Misra targeted industrialist Gautam Adani in Parliament to allegedly advance rival corporate interests, reflecting the nexus of politics, business, and profit-making.
