Administration Resumes Work After Clear Weather

With weather conditions improving over the past two days, preparations for the annual pilgrimage to Kedarnath Temple have picked up pace. The administration, along with the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee, has become active again to ensure all arrangements are in place before the temple doors open.

Efforts are underway at multiple levels to complete all necessary preparations, focusing on ensuring the safety and convenience of pilgrims.

Temple Committee Reaches Kedarnath Dham

Officials from the temple committee have already reached Kedarnath Dham and begun restoration work. The focus is on reinstating essential services such as drinking water, electricity, and other basic facilities that were affected due to heavy snowfall.

Authorities are working to normalize conditions so that devotees do not face any inconvenience during the yatra.

Snow Clearance Operations in Full Swing

Committee member Vineet Posi stated that snow removal operations are ongoing across the temple premises and surrounding areas. Personnel from the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) are assisting in clearing snow and restoring access.

With weather conditions now favorable, the restoration of key facilities has resumed at a faster pace.

Focus on Completing Arrangements Before Opening

Officials have set a target to complete all essential arrangements before the temple doors open. Departments are working in coordination to ensure a smooth and safe pilgrimage experience for devotees.

Special attention is being given to infrastructure readiness and safety measures.

Trekking Route Restoration Underway

Conditions along the trekking route from Gaurikund to Kedarnath are also improving. Recently, a glacier break near Lincholi had blocked the road, leaving large chunks of ice and debris scattered across the path.

Around 100 meters of the trekking route was severely damaged due to the incident.

Workers Brave Harsh Conditions to Clear Path

Teams of workers are tirelessly clearing snow and debris to restore the route for safe movement. Despite challenging conditions caused by heavy snowfall and glacier activity, efforts are being made to ensure that pilgrims can travel safely once the yatra begins.

The administration remains committed to completing all preparations in time, ensuring a smooth and secure pilgrimage season this year.
