Continuous rain has disrupted daily activities, while markets and roads wore a deserted look as people reduced their movement.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">The situation in low-lying and remote areas has raised concerns amid the persistent rainfall. The rising water level of the <strong>Vamsadhara River near Kashinagar</strong> has further added to the concern among people living in riverside areas.</p>
<h3>Vamsadhara Water Level Reaches 53.69 Metres</h3>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">According to available data, the water level of the Vamsadhara River at Kashinagar was recorded at <strong>53.69 metres at 6 am on Sunday</strong>.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">The zero level at the location is 51 metres, while the <strong>warning level is 54.10 metres</strong> and the <strong>danger level is 54.60 metres</strong>. The river is currently only <strong>0.41 metres below the warning level</strong>.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">With heavy rain continuing, the water level is likely to rise further, raising concerns about possible impacts on areas along the river.</p>
<h3>Gajapati Records Over 121 mm Rainfall</h3>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">Gajapati district recorded <strong>121.6 mm of rainfall by Sunday morning</strong>, while the cumulative rainfall has reached <strong>501.2 mm</strong>.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">The persistent rain, coupled with the rising water level of the Vamsadhara River, has triggered concern among residents living in riverside and low-lying areas.</p>
<p>Authorities are closely monitoring the situation as further rainfall could lead to a rise in the river level and increase the risk of waterlogging and flooding in vulnerable areas.</p>
