In his speech, Raj Thackeray thanked Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for playing a key role in bringing the brothers together. “What Balasaheb could not accomplish has been done by Devendra Fadnavis through this reunion,” Raj stated.

Referring to the late Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray as “our father,” Raj emotionally remarked, “Have Uddhav stand next to me and hug me. He (Balasaheb) is watching us from above, happy to see this moment.”

Call to Protect Maharashtrian Identity

Raj Thackeray used the platform to sharply criticize what he called the “Chhattisgarh brand of Gunda Raj” being imported into Maharashtra under the guise of cultural preservation. He accused certain elements of targeting and harming Maharashtrians in the name of culture.

“Maharashtra is bigger than all politics, and we must keep it that way,” he emphasized, calling on people to resist cultural aggression and fight for their heritage. “Will you remain silent while Maharashtrian culture is being destroyed?” he asked the crowd.

Rally Celebrates Victory Against Three-Language Formula

The rally was originally scheduled for an earlier date but was postponed to coincide with the state government’s withdrawal of the three-language policy in colleges. The move was widely celebrated as a victory for regional identity and linguistic pride.
