The Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has claimed responsibility for a major missile strike on Monday, targeting what it described as the Mossad’s central headquarters in Tel Aviv. The attack, reportedly executed by the IRGC’s Aerospace Force, is part of a broader wave of retaliatory strikes against Israeli military and intelligence installations.

According to Iranian state media, including the Tasnim News Agency, the operation successfully destroyed the intelligence hub in the heart of Tel Aviv. The IRGC stated the assault was in response to Israeli airstrikes on Iranian nuclear and military facilities that began on June 13.

Iran said it launched over 100 advanced “Hajj Qassem” missiles in a barrage that targeted multiple Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv and Haifa. While Iran claimed its missiles penetrated Israel’s multilayered air defense systems, the Israeli military countered that the vast majority of the projectiles were intercepted.

Israel has yet to confirm any damage to the Mossad facility. However, officials have acknowledged civilian casualties and infrastructure damage in central Israel. Emergency services reported that at least 29 people were injured in the latest wave of attacks.

Iranian media also claimed the Galil military intelligence base near Tel Aviv was hit. SNN television and other outlets cited sources asserting that the attacks overcame Israeli defenses. Meanwhile, conflicting reports and a lack of confirmation from Israeli authorities have cast doubt on the extent of the damage claimed by Iran.

The missile strike marks a sharp escalation in a four-day conflict that has already resulted in significant casualties — 24 dead in Israel and 224 in Iran, most of them civilians. With both sides continuing to exchange strikes and no signs of de-escalation, tensions in the region remain dangerously high.
