<p>Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi held the 20th state-level grievance hearing in Bhubaneswar, where over 600 complaints were received. The government has resolved 95% of 15,327 complaints received in the first 19 rounds, while ₹14.50 lakh in medical assistance was sanctioned for 16 seriously ill patients.</p>

<p class="isSelectedEnd">The Chief Minister said the core principles of the government are <strong>empathy, compassion and sensitivity</strong>, and assured that the administration would continue to stand with people during their difficulties.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">Ten senior ministers along with senior officials from various departments were present during the grievance hearing and listened to the complaints of citizens.</p>

<h3>95% Complaints Resolved in 19 Rounds</h3>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">According to the Chief Minister’s Office, <strong>15,327 complaints</strong> were received during the first 19 rounds of the state-level grievance hearing. Of these, <strong>14,519 complaints, or 95%, have already been resolved</strong>.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">At the district level, Collectors and Superintendents of Police regularly conduct grievance hearings. Similar grievance redressal mechanisms are also functioning at the tehsil and block levels.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">By the end of July, <strong>2,69,394 complaints</strong> had been received and heard at the district level, with around <strong>87% of the complaints resolved</strong>.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">The government said the strengthened grievance redressal system has helped resolve several issues locally, reducing the need for citizens to make repeated visits to government offices.</p>

<h3>₹14.50 Lakh Medical Assistance Approved</h3>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">During Monday’s hearing, the Chief Minister also met persons with disabilities and patients suffering from serious illnesses who were waiting outside the grievance cell. He heard their concerns and directed officials to take immediate action.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">Through the <strong>Single Window System</strong>, the Chief Minister sanctioned <strong>₹14.50 lakh in medical assistance for 16 patients</strong> suffering from various serious illnesses.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">More than <strong>600 complaints</strong> were received through both online and offline modes during the day.</p>

<h3>CM Says Government Will Stand With People</h3>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">Speaking to the media, Chief Minister Majhi said the government is committed to reaching people wherever they face difficulties. He highlighted the administration’s response during natural calamities such as floods, cyclones and droughts.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">He said the government had provided assistance after declaring the unseasonal rainfall of 2024 a natural disaster and has also announced a relief package for the current flood situation.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">The Chief Minister said the government would continue to remain with people in both their happiness and difficulties.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari, Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Mukesh Mahaling, Commerce and Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena, Housing and Urban Development Minister Dr Krushna Chandra Mahapatra and other ministers attended the hearing.</p>
<p>Senior officials, including Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Shashwat Mishra, Revenue Department Additional Chief Secretary Dr Aravind Padhee and Principal Secretary of the General Grievance and General Administration Department Suresh Kumar Vashisth, were also present.</p>
