Odisha has received investment proposals worth ₹66,392 crore, with the potential to create 54,135 jobs, following Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s two-day investment outreach programme in Delhi-NCR.

The two-day campaign included the Odisha Food Pro 2026 roadshow, 46 high-level meetings and a total of 208 industry interactions with investors and representatives from various sectors.

On the second day, Chief Minister Majhi held one-on-one meetings with leading investors and industry representatives to discuss investment expansion and opportunities in Odisha. He also visited the Haier manufacturing facility in Noida, where he interacted with senior company officials and engineers and reviewed its manufacturing processes.

The Chief Minister highlighted Odisha’s potential in manufacturing, textiles, engineering, aluminium and allied sectors. He said the state is working to create an industrial ecosystem that promotes investment, employment generation and value addition.

Sector-specific roundtable meetings were also held during the visit. Discussions on engineering goods manufacturing focused on industrial infrastructure, ancillary development and supply-chain integration. The textile and apparel roundtable covered manufacturing, exports, skilled manpower and employment opportunities.

An aluminium downstream and ancillary sector meeting, organised with NALCO, explored opportunities for value addition, downstream manufacturing and greater participation of ancillary industries and MSMEs.

According to the state government, 38 MoUs were signed during the campaign, involving investments worth ₹64,703 crore and creating potential employment for 46,071 people. In addition, investment intent worth ₹1,689 crore was received, with the potential to generate 8,064 jobs.

Industry Minister Sampad Chandra Swain said the response from investors reflected growing confidence in Odisha’s investment climate.

The Chief Minister said the state is committed to translating investment interest into projects on the ground and creating long-term employment opportunities for Odisha’s youth.
