<p>Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS), Mahasingi in Kandhamal district has qualified for the Zonal-Level Youth Parliament Competition in Tirupati after emerging as the regional champion in Odisha. <p class="isSelectedEnd">The zonal-level competition will be held at EMRS Ozili in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, and will bring together some of the best-performing tribal residential schools from across the country.</p>
<h2>Part of NESTS’ First National Youth Parliament Initiative</h2>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">The competition is being organized by the National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS) under the banner of the 1st National Youth Parliament Competition for Eklavya Model Residential Schools.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">The initiative aims to encourage democratic values, constitutional awareness, leadership skills, and a deeper understanding of parliamentary functioning among tribal students studying in EMRS institutions.</p>
<h2>Three-Tier Competition Structure</h2>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">The Youth Parliament Competition is being conducted in a three-stage format comprising Regional, Zonal, and National levels. A total of 36 selected EMRSs from different parts of India are participating in the prestigious event.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">By progressing to the zonal stage, EMRS Mahasingi has earned the opportunity to showcase Odisha’s talent and excellence on a larger platform.</p>
<h2>58 Students to Represent Odisha</h2>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">A contingent of 58 students, accompanied by six escort teachers, will represent Odisha at the upcoming zonal-level competition in Tirupati.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">The participants will engage in simulated parliamentary proceedings, debates, and discussions designed to strengthen their communication abilities, critical thinking, public speaking skills, and leadership qualities.</p>
<h2>Pride and Enthusiasm Across the School Community</h2>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">The achievement has sparked celebrations and pride among students, teachers, and parents of EMRS Mahasingi. The school community has expressed confidence that the team will deliver an outstanding performance and bring further recognition to Odisha at the national level.</p>

<p data-start="1511" data-end="1775">Senior students <strong data-start="1527" data-end="1545">Anirban Parida</strong> and <strong data-start="1550" data-end="1569">Binit Bharadwaj</strong> narrated their journeys at BHU, sharing stories of <strong data-start="1621" data-end="1647">struggles and triumphs</strong>. Their experiences served as a <strong data-start="1679" data-end="1704">source of inspiration</strong> for the newcomers, helping them visualise their own potential paths.</p>
<h2 data-start="1777" data-end="1810">Closing and Acknowledgements</h2>
<p data-start="1811" data-end="1986">The programme concluded with a <strong data-start="1842" data-end="1901">vote of thanks delivered by Professor Saroj Kumar Padhi</strong>. The smooth conduct of the event was overseen by <strong data-start="1951" data-end="1961">Subrat</strong>, ensuring its success.</p>
