Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday felicitated Indian Idol Season 16 winner Jyotirmayee Nayak at his official residence in Bhubaneswar and announced a cash reward of ₹5 lakh in recognition of her outstanding achievement on the national stage.

During the meeting, Jyotirmayee presented the Indian Idol trophy to the Chief Minister and shared her journey to victory, highlighting the hard work, perseverance and dedication that helped her win one of India’s most prestigious singing competitions.

Congratulating the young singer, the Chief Minister said Jyotirmayee had brought pride to Odisha by emerging as the national winner through her exceptional talent, relentless effort and the blessings of Lord Jagannath. He described her as an inspiration for the younger generation of aspiring singers and praised her for setting an example through her commitment to music.
