Kalbaisakhi storms brought much-needed relief from intense heat and humidity across Odisha, lowering temperatures by up to 10 degrees Celsius in several areas. However, the storms also caused widespread damage, uprooting trees, disrupting power supply, and claiming one life in Angul district. Meanwhile, the IMD has issued heatwave, thunderstorm, and heavy rainfall alerts for multiple districts, with rough sea conditions prompting a warning for fishermen along the Odisha coast.
