Over 1 Million Followers Lost on Instagram
Raghav Chadha has suffered a major setback on social media following his resignation from the Aam Aadmi Party. In just two days, more than one million users unfollowed him on Instagram. On April 23, Chadha had around 14.6 million followers, but by April 24, the number dropped sharply to 13.5 million and continues to decline.

Resignation Triggers Political Shake-Up
Chadha resigned from AAP last Friday, along with several other prominent leaders, including Sandeep Pathak, Ashok Mittal, Vikram Sahney, Swati Maliwal, Rajendra Gupta, and Harbhajan Singh. Among them, Chadha, Pathak, and Mittal have reportedly joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. Before joining the new party, Chadha strongly criticized AAP during a press conference, while Maliwal confirmed her resignation through a public statement.

Discontent Over Rajya Sabha Role
Sources indicate that Chadha was unhappy after being removed from the post of deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha. The party had appointed Ashok Mittal as his replacement. Following his removal, Chadha released a video expressing dissatisfaction. He had also remained largely absent from party activities in recent months, avoiding key meetings and events.

Political Implications for Kejriwal
Chadha’s exit is seen as a significant challenge for Arvind Kejriwal, as he has taken along six MPs, potentially weakening AAP’s position. Reports suggest Chadha may now target around 22 MLAs in Delhi and could attempt to influence political dynamics in Punjab ahead of upcoming elections.
