Meanwhile, AIADMK has managed to retain much of its rural base, leading in 49 out of 116 rural constituencies. However, TVK has made notable inroads even in these areas, leading in 33 rural seats.

Vijay is currently leading in both Perambur and Trichy East constituencies, strengthening his political standing.
In a surprising development, Chief Minister M. K. Stalin is trailing behind a TVK candidate in Kolathur, indicating a significant shift in voter sentiment.
