<p data-start="421" data-end="711">According to the IMD, wind speeds may reach up to 100 kilometres per hour in some regions. Due to the rainfall activity, temperatures are expected to drop by 2 to 6 degrees Celsius in many areas. Citizens have been advised to remain cautious while travelling outdoors during storm activity.</p>
<h2 data-section-id="skjdka" data-start="713" data-end="747">IMD Issues Alerts for 16 States</h2>
<p data-start="749" data-end="1039">The IMD has issued weather alerts for 16 states over the next 24 hours. States under warning include Odisha, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Kerala, and Karnataka.</p>
<p data-start="1041" data-end="1168">The department has warned of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, heavy rain, gusty winds, and hailstorms in isolated areas.</p>
<h2 data-section-id="1jimgdx" data-start="1170" data-end="1211">Major Weather Change Expected in Delhi</h2>
<p data-start="1213" data-end="1392">Delhi is likely to witness a major change in weather conditions between May 29 and June 2. An orange alert has been issued for May 29 due to thunderstorms, rain, and strong winds.</p>
<p data-start="1394" data-end="1575">Wind speeds in the national capital may reach up to 70 kmph. Rainfall is also likely on May 30 and 31. Cloudy conditions may continue on June 1 and 2 before temperatures rise again.</p>
<h2 data-section-id="1a8itxr" data-start="1577" data-end="1627">Strong Storms Likely in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar</h2>
<p data-start="1629" data-end="1856">Western Uttar Pradesh may experience dust storms and rain with wind speeds reaching 80 to 100 kmph. Eastern districts may also witness strong winds between 70 and 90 kmph along with heavy rainfall and hailstorms in some places.</p>
<p data-start="1858" data-end="2039">In Bihar, heavy rainfall is likely between May 29 and 30 in Patna, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Purnia, Bhagalpur, and several other districts. Winds may blow at speeds of up to 70 kmph.</p>
<h2 data-section-id="k3pv2s" data-start="2041" data-end="2092">Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh to Receive Rainfall</h2>
<p data-start="2094" data-end="2320">Several districts of Rajasthan, including Jaipur, Kota, Ajmer, Udaipur, and Jodhpur, are expected to receive rain from May 29 to May 31. Temperatures may fall by around 2 degrees Celsius, while winds may blow at 60 to 70 kmph.</p>
<p data-start="2322" data-end="2516">Rain alerts have also been issued for several districts of Madhya Pradesh. Strong winds of up to 60 kmph are expected, while Bhopal may record a maximum temperature of around 41 degrees Celsius.</p>
<h2 data-section-id="1liwiff" data-start="2518" data-end="2559">Thunderstorms Predicted in Hill States</h2>
<p data-start="2561" data-end="2686">In Uttarakhand, districts such as Dehradun, Chamoli, and Rudraprayag may experience thunderstorms, lightning, and hailstorms.</p>
<p data-start="2688" data-end="2906">Similarly, Himachal Pradesh is likely to witness stormy weather in Shimla, Kullu, Mandi, and Kangra. Wind speeds may reach up to 70 kmph. In Manali, temperatures are expected to remain between 3 and 11 degrees Celsius.</p>
<h2 data-section-id="1y91hqp" data-start="2908" data-end="2956">Orange Alert in Jharkhand and Jammu &amp; Kashmir</h2>
<p data-start="2958" data-end="3135">Jharkhand has been placed under orange alert till May 30 for thunderstorms and rainfall in nearly 20 districts. Temperatures may fall by around 4 degrees Celsius after the rain.</p>
<p data-start="3137" data-end="3372">In Jammu and Kashmir, rain and thunderstorm warnings have been issued for districts including Anantnag, Rajouri, and Kupwara. Winds may touch 70 kmph, while Srinagar is expected to record temperatures between 13 and 26 degrees Celsius.</p>
<h2 data-section-id="1rzbjb8" data-start="3374" data-end="3417">Heavy Rainfall Likely in Southern States</h2>
<p data-start="3419" data-end="3575">Tamil Nadu may witness heavy rain and gusty winds, especially in Nilgiris, Coimbatore, and Dindigul districts. Wind speeds may range between 40 and 50 kmph.</p>
<p data-start="3577" data-end="3765">In Kerala, the southwest monsoon is expected to arrive very soon. Thunderstorms and rainfall are likely on May 29 and 30. Coastal regions may also face rough sea conditions and high waves.</p>
<h2 data-section-id="5gs9ma" data-start="3767" data-end="3822">Odisha to Witness Rain and Thunderstorms Till June 3</h2>
<p data-start="3824" data-end="4005">Odisha is likely to experience thunderstorms, rain, and strong winds till June 3. The IMD has issued orange alerts for several districts, including Balasore, Cuttack, and Sambalpur.</p>
<p data-start="4007" data-end="4295" data-is-only-node="">Heavy rainfall may occur in some areas, accompanied by lightning and gusty winds. According to the Regional Meteorological Centre, temperatures across the state may fall by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius over the next 24 hours, bringing much-needed relief from the prevailing heatwave conditions.</p>
