A shocking revelation has emerged in the firing incident targeting Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff. According to reports, an arrested accused told police that the actor was allegedly targeted by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang because of his admiration for Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.
The incident took place on Sunday when Tiger Shroff was returning from a football ground in Mumbai’s Juhu area. Two unidentified assailants allegedly fired around seven rounds at the actor’s BMW before fleeing on a motorcycle.
The attack left the actor’s driver and another person seriously injured.
Accused Arrested in Joint Police Operation
The following day, the Mumbai Police, in coordination with Kota Police, reportedly arrested the accused at Kota railway station. They were apprehended from the Pune–Jaipur Superfast Express during a joint operation.
According to the alleged confession, Tiger Shroff had praised Salman Khan during a film promotion event, describing him as the only “Tiger” in the film industry. Investigators suspect that the actor’s public admiration for Salman Khan may have made him a target of the Bishnoi gang.
The gang has been associated with threats against Salman Khan following the 1998 blackbuck poaching case, which has remained a major point of contention with the Bishnoi community.
However, the alleged motive will require further investigation and independent verification.
Accused Allegedly Monitored Police Investigation
Investigators have also found indications that the accused allegedly monitored police movements and the progress of the investigation through social media and internet-based calls after the shooting.
According to CCTV footage, an accused identified as Rehan was frequently seen using his mobile phone. Investigators suspect that information about the seizure of their motorcycle in Mumbai’s Andheri area was also communicated to them through internet calls.
The police are now investigating the wider criminal network and attempting to identify individuals who may have supplied inside information to the accused.
The investigation is ongoing, and further details are expected to emerge as the police examine the suspects’ communications and possible links to the alleged conspiracy.
