Young batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi is on the verge of creating history in world cricket as he is expected to make his international debut in India’s first T20I against Ireland.
If selected in the playing XI, Vaibhav will become the youngest player ever to represent India in international cricket, surpassing the long-standing record held by legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar.
Vaibhav is set to make his T20I debut at the age of just 15 years and 91 days in Belfast. Sachin Tendulkar had made his international debut at the age of 16 years and 205 days, a record that has stood for nearly four decades.
The young star’s possible debut has created major excitement among cricket fans, as he is set to become the youngest Indian to step onto the biggest stage of the sport.
Vaibhav will become the 120th player to represent India in T20 internationals if he gets the opportunity to play. The match could mark a historic milestone in his young career.
India and Ireland are scheduled to begin a two-match T20I series, and all eyes are on the team selection ahead of the opening game. Vaibhav earned attention after impressive performances in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and for India A, strengthening his chances of making the national squad.
However, his inclusion in the playing XI could lead to a major selection decision, with established players such as Sanju Samson, Abhishek Sharma, and Ishan Kishan potentially competing for a spot.
The cricketing world now awaits whether the teenager from Bihar will get the opportunity to create history and begin what many believe could be a remarkable international career.
