The model also supports E20 fuel, reinforcing Yamaha’s eco-friendly focus. Safety and convenience are enhanced with single-channel ABS and a digital instrument cluster. The bike is available in Matte Titan and Metallic Black colour options.
XSR 155: Neo-Retro Meets Modern Engineering
Inspired by Yamaha’s global XSR lineup, the XSR 155 merges retro styling with modern technology. It boasts a 155 cc liquid-cooled engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) that produces 18.1 bhp and 14.2 Nm, paired with a 6-speed transmission and assist-and-slipper clutch.
The XSR 155 also features dual-channel ABS, traction control, and a round LED headlamp, enhancing both safety and aesthetics. Available in four colours, it also offers Scrambler and Café Racer accessory kits, catering to riders looking for customization. Competing with models like the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and TVS Ronin, the XSR 155 is a strong contender in the premium 150cc segment.
Yamaha’s Electric Future on the Horizon
In addition to these launches, Yamaha has teased its first-ever electric scooter for India, though specific details and technical specifications remain undisclosed. This move signals Yamaha’s commitment to expanding into the electric mobility segment while maintaining its stronghold in the conventional two-wheeler space.
