Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi distributed appointment letters to 4,623 newly recruited candidates during the 15th Recruitment Fair held at Kalinga Stadium.
Recruitment Across Seven Departments
The appointments span across seven key government departments. The School and Mass Education Department accounted for the highest number with 4,113 recruitments, followed by Forest, Environment & Climate Change (154), MSME (143), Steel & Mines (77), Fisheries & Animal Resources Development (70), Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water (52), and Skill Development & Technical Education (14).

Addressing the newly appointed candidates, the Chief Minister emphasized that a government job is not just a means of livelihood but a unique opportunity to serve the people. He stated that government employees represent the true face of governance and play a crucial role in delivering services to the last mile.
Over 44,000 Government Jobs in 22 Months
Highlighting employment generation, Majhi said that since June 2024, the state government has provided 44,082 government jobs and facilitated around 92,000 employment opportunities in the private sector.
Five Key Guidelines for New Recruits
The Chief Minister advised the recruits to follow five important principles in their careers:
- Maintain zero tolerance towards corruption
- Respect public voice and address grievances with empathy
- Avoid letting personal opinions hinder official duties
- Ensure timely completion of work
- Maintain professionalism and courteous behavior in public dealings
Ministers Emphasize Public Service Commitment
Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram congratulated the recruits and praised the state government for creating employment opportunities. He urged them to treat public service as the highest form of duty.
State ministers including Gokulananda Mallik, Ganesh Ram Singh Khuntia, and Nityananda Gond also addressed the gathering, highlighting that the appointments come with responsibility to serve millions of people across the state.

Several newly appointed candidates, including Bikash Ranjan Padhi, Abhishek Pradhan, Anjali Munda, and Tapaswini Priyadarshini, expressed gratitude to the government for a transparent recruitment process.
