Record Turnover Achieved in 2025–26
OMFED registered a turnover of Rs 1,036.82 crore during the 2025–26 financial year, the highest in the federation’s history. Officials said the growth was driven by expansion in milk procurement, production, and marketing activities.
During the review meeting, the Minister assessed the progress of various programmes related to milk cooperative societies, dairy plants, procurement systems, and infrastructure development. He directed officials to ensure timely resolution of operational issues and accelerate ongoing development projects.

He emphasized that OMFED is working towards achieving self-sufficiency in milk and dairy products in Odisha.
Milk Procurement and Infrastructure Expansion
Under the Mukhyamantri Kamadhenu Yojana, 21 new milk chilling centres have been established across Odisha to strengthen cold-chain infrastructure.
At present, OMFED procures around 6.70 lakh litres of milk daily from nearly 3.24 lakh farmers through 4,455 milk cooperative societies. To further strengthen procurement at the grassroots level, 160 new milk collection centres are being opened in various blocks across the state.
