Viksit Bharat Youth Leadership Dialogue 2027 Launched in Bhubaneswar

Odisha Sports and Youth Services Minister Suryabanshi Suraj on Wednesday inaugurated the Viksit Bharat Youth Leadership Dialogue (VBYLD)-2027 at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, calling upon young people across the state to actively participate in the initiative.

Implemented by MY Bharat under the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the programme aims to provide youth with a national platform to share ideas and contribute to the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.

Addressing a press conference, Minister Suraj said the initiative seeks to help young people bridge the gap between classrooms and boardrooms and between playgrounds and Parliament. He also highlighted efforts to convert innovative youth ideas into practical products and services through collaboration with premier institutions, including the IITs.

The Odisha Sports and Youth Services Department is partnering with MY Bharat and the National Service Scheme (NSS) to create awareness and encourage participation across the state. Recalling Swami Vivekananda’s message on the strength of youth, the Minister urged young talents to take part in the programme.

The selection process has already begun with the online Viksit Bharat Quiz, being conducted from August 17 to September 30, 2026, for participants aged 15 to 29. Selected participants will proceed to a 500-word essay competition, followed by district and state-level rounds.

Final state delegates will travel to New Delhi to present their ideas before Union Ministers, senior officials and the Prime Minister.

The programme features six tracks: Viksit Bharat Challenge, Cultural Track, Design for Bharat, Hack for Social Cause, Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge and Youth Parliament.
