After 28 years, Bollywood’s historic patriotic film ‘Border’ is making a comeback with its sequel, ‘Border 2’. The original 1997 film, directed by J.P. Dutta, was based on the 1971 Indo-Pak war at Longewala and left a deep impression on audiences with Sunny Deol’s powerful performance and its unforgettable soundtrack. Among its songs, “Sandese Aate Hain” remains an iconic symbol of patriotism.

Recreated Musical Hit: ‘Ghar Kab Aoge’

In ‘Border 2’, the legendary song has been recreated as ‘Ghar Kab Aoge’, and the teaser has already stirred emotions among fans. Released on T-Series’ YouTube channel, the 46-second teaser features the voices of four celebrated singers—Sonu Nigam, Vishal Mishra, Arijit Singh, and Diljit Dosanjh—bringing a fresh dimension to the patriotic anthem.

The original music was composed by Anu Malik with lyrics by Javed Akhtar, while the new version has been recreated by Mithoon with additional lyrics by Manoj Muntashir. Sources suggest that Roop Kumar Rathod’s voice is also part of this grand musical collaboration. The full song was launched at a grand event in Longewala-Tanot, Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, on January 2, 2026.
