Odisha Hosts CAHO’s Premier Healthcare Tech Conclave for the First Time
The 10th edition of India’s premier healthcare technology innovation conclave, CAHOTECH 2025, organized by the Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organizations (CAHO), concluded at KIMS on Sunday. This marks the first time the prestigious event has been hosted in Odisha.
KIMS Hosts CAHO in Odisha for the First Time
The two-day conclave, themed “Technology & Impact: Solving Challenges in Healthcare,” brought together healthcare professionals, innovators, startups, industry leaders, and students. Organized jointly by KIMS and CAHO, the event served as a hub for discussing and showcasing transformative technologies in healthcare.
Dr. Samanta Highlights CAHOTECH’s Growing Impact
In his welcome address, Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT, KISS & KIMS, said CAHOTECH has evolved into CAHO’s flagship platform, uniting healthcare providers, policymakers, entrepreneurs, investors, and technology innovators.
He emphasized that CAHOTECH 2025 will foster visionary ideas, collaborations, and impactful innovations—driven by technology and purpose—to solve real-world healthcare challenges.
CAHO’s Mission: Innovation for Safer, Smarter Healthcare
Dr. Vijay Agarwal, President of CAHO, said CAHO continues to promote innovation aimed at making healthcare safer, smarter, and more equitable.
Highlighting the role of accredited hospitals in improving quality, he thanked Dr. Samanta for enabling CAHO’s first-ever Odisha edition.
Education as the Path to Equity
Dr. Subrat Kumar Acharya, Pro-Chancellor of KIIT DU, reflected on Dr. Samanta’s vision, stating that poverty remains India’s fundamental issue and education is the key to overcoming it.
He added that the missions of KIIT and CAHO align strongly, with patient safety being central to medical science.
Medical Technology as the Future of Healthcare
Guest of Honour Dr. Suman Chakraborty, Director of IIT, stressed that medical technology is not only vital today but will be the primary means to ensure quality healthcare worldwide in the future.
Citing IIT Kharagpur’s early foresight, he noted the establishment of its School of Medical Science and Technology in 2001 as a transformative step.
