In a significant move to ease the process for beneficiaries under the National Food Security Act (NFSA), the Odisha Government has extended the e-KYC deadline to January 31, 2025. This decision provides additional time for over 50 lakh pending beneficiaries to complete their verification and ensure uninterrupted access to the Public Distribution System (PDS).

85% Verification Completed, 50 Lakh Consumers Still Pending

According to government sources, 85% of e-KYC verification has already been successfully completed. However, a significant number of beneficiaries are yet to comply, prompting the extension. Initially scheduled to end on January 15, 2025, the deadline extension aims to provide ease and accessibility for all citizens receiving benefits under the food security scheme.

How to Complete Your e-KYC Verification?

Beneficiaries can easily complete their e-KYC at:

  • Electronic Public Service (EPS) Outlets
  • Ration Distribution Centres

Government officials are also offering assistance to eligible citizens living outside Odisha, ensuring the process is inclusive and seamless for Odia residents across the country.

Why is e-KYC Verification Essential?

e-KYC verification is mandatory to:

  • Update beneficiary details.
  • Prevent fraudulent claims.
  • Ensure the efficient distribution of ration cards to eligible beneficiaries.

New ration cards will be issued post-verification to all those who have either applied earlier or plan to apply in the future.

Act Now: Don’t Miss the e-KYC Deadline!

The Odisha Government urges all ration card beneficiaries to swiftly complete their e-KYC verification to avoid any disruption in services. By meeting the extended deadline, you secure your eligibility for uninterrupted benefits under the PDS.
