The Union Home Ministry on Sunday announced the Padma Awards 2026, recognising 131 exceptional individuals from across India and abroad for their contributions to arts, literature, medicine, science, sports, social service, and public affairs. The list was approved by President Droupadi Murmu, and includes five Padma Vibhushans, thirteen Padma Bhushans, and 113 Padma Shri awardees (counting two duo awards as one).
