KIIT International MUN 2025 Concludes with Global Participation and Vibrant Youth Engagement
Global Youth Converge at KIIT MUN 2025 for Diplomacy, Debate, and Cultural Exchange
The KIIT International Model United Nations (KIIT MUN) 2025 wrapped up successfully after three days of intensive debate, global diplomacy, cultural exchange, and youth leadership activities, drawing participants from across India and abroad.
Global Footprint: International Panel and Delegates Add Depth
This year’s MUN saw the presence of three International Executive Board (IEB) members, over 20 corporate sponsors, and a diverse pool of student delegates—including more than 30 international students from three different countries. Their contributions brought strong academic insight and global perspectives to committee deliberations.
Inaugural Session Highlights Diplomacy in a Polarised World
The conference commenced on December 5 with an enthusiastic gathering of young diplomats.
Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Raju K. D., in his keynote address, underscored the rising importance of diplomacy amid global polarisation.
“In the digital age, the art of diplomacy is going to be counted,” he said, encouraging students to use MUN platforms to understand global complexities.
He reiterated KIIT’s guiding philosophy: “Empower, Enlighten, Enable, and Engage.”
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Saranjit Singh applauded the international diversity of the conference, while Registrar Prof. J. R. Mohanty highlighted increasing global interest in KIIT MUN, noting the participation of 33 delegates from abroad.
Intense Debates Across UN Committees
Participants engaged in rigorous debates, negotiations and policy drafting across a wide range of simulated UN committees. These included discussions on contemporary geopolitical issues and historical crises, giving delegates a platform to test their diplomatic, analytical and public speaking skills.
The presence of International Executive Board members elevated the academic rigor, ensuring high-quality deliberations and mentoring for the young delegates.
Beyond Committees: Workshops, Cultural Events and Star Night
Outside formal sessions, KIIT MUN 2025 offered a vibrant mix of workshops, academic masterclasses, cultural performances and campus engagement activities.
A major highlight was the Star Night featuring Bollywood playback singer Ash King, which energised participants and showcased KIIT’s trademark hospitality and event excellence.
Delegates Praise KIIT’s Hospitality and Execution
Throughout the three-day event, delegates praised the seamless coordination, inclusive environment, and dynamic campus atmosphere. Many described KIIT MUN as one of the most well-organised youth diplomacy platforms in the country, known for blending academic depth with cultural vibrancy.
