Manifesto for Bihar Election: Tejashwi’s Lofty Dream
As Bihar gears up for political churn, Tejashwi Yadav’s grand promises echo more like dreams than deliverables.
In a major political development ahead of the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) released its election manifesto titled “Bihar Ka Tejashwi Pran”, outlining an ambitious roadmap to transform Bihar into India’s top-performing state.
The manifesto promises one government job per family, regularisation of all contractual workers, and official recognition for Jeevika Didis, who will receive a monthly honorarium of ₹30,000.
Focus on Welfare and Economic Empowerment
The manifesto includes a comprehensive social welfare package:
-
Under the Ma-Behen Yojana, women will receive ₹2,500 per month.
-
Widows and senior citizens will get ₹1,500 monthly under the Social Security Pension Scheme.
-
Persons with disabilities will be entitled to ₹3,000 per month.
-
Every household will receive 200 units of free electricity.
-
Each citizen will be covered under a ₹25 lakh health insurance policy.
-
The reservation limit will be raised from 50% to 60%.
-
MNREGA workers will get ₹300 daily wages and a minimum of 200 workdays annually.
The alliance also vowed to create a corruption-free Bihar, ensure protection for minorities, and provide transparent governance.
“We Will Build a New Bihar,” Says Tejashwi
Mahagathbandhan’s Chief Ministerial candidate and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, speaking at the launch event, said,
“Our vision is to build a new Bihar through inclusive development. This manifesto reflects the aspirations of every Bihari. Once in power, we will fulfill every promise.”
He emphasized that the alliance’s policies were designed with a 30–35 year vision for Bihar’s progress, ensuring sustained economic and social growth.
Deputy CM candidate Mukesh Sahani added that the manifesto was not mere rhetoric but a “roadmap for governance and prosperity.”
Tejashwi Slams NDA’s “Failure”
Taking a dig at the ruling NDA, Tejashwi criticized both Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for their lack of development initiatives.
“While we have announced our CM candidate, the NDA hasn’t even declared theirs. Nor have they released a manifesto. Whenever the PM visits Bihar, he only attacks the Opposition instead of addressing people’s issues,” Tejashwi remarked.
The Mahagathbandhan’s confident tone and people-centric promises have set the stage for a high-voltage electoral battle, as Bihar braces for a decisive political showdown.
