The evaluation of Matric (Class 10) answer sheets has commenced across Odisha from today, with the process being carried out at 51 centres across all 30 districts. The Board has set a deadline to complete the evaluation by April 2.
Strict Guidelines for Evaluation Process
The Board of Secondary Education Odisha has issued strict guidelines to ensure fair and transparent evaluation. Teachers have been instructed to follow all prescribed norms during the checking process.
A total of around 15,000 teachers have been engaged for the evaluation work.
High Security Arrangements in Place
All evaluation centres are equipped with CCTV surveillance and tight security measures. Adequate facilities such as lighting, fans, and drinking water have been arranged in evaluation rooms.
Additionally, fire safety equipment has been deployed in strong rooms where answer scripts are stored to prevent any untoward incidents.
Mobile Phones Strictly Prohibited
The Board has imposed a complete ban on mobile phones inside evaluation centres. Officials have warned that strict action will be taken against anyone found violating this rule.
Teachers assigned to evaluation must attend their duties, failing which disciplinary action will be initiated.
Special Provisions for Teachers
Teachers facing serious health issues can apply for exemption from evaluation duties by submitting valid medical certificates to the Board.
To ensure convenience, teachers have been assigned evaluation centres based on their subject expertise and nearby locations.
Over 5.6 Lakh Students Appeared
The Matric examinations were conducted from February 19 to March 2, with 5,61,979 students appearing at 3,082 centres across the state.
Results Expected by May Second Week
The Board aims to publish the Matric results by the second week of May, once the evaluation process is completed.
Authorities have emphasized accurate and fair assessment to ensure transparency and credibility in the results of the Board of Secondary Education Odisha.
