Bhubaneswar October 6, 2023: Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik announced a cash reward of Rs 5 lakh each for the Indian Men’s Hockey Team players and support staff in light of their remarkable Gold Medal victory at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou. The team’s outstanding performance not only secured the prestigious Gold but also earned them a coveted spot in the Paris Olympics 2024. They clinched victory with a resounding 5-1 win over defending champions Japan in the final.
In a heartfelt gesture, CM Naveen Patnaik personally congratulated the team via video call following the medal ceremony, filling them with elation.
