Odisha Government Plans 10-Day Celebration Programme from June 12
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Odisha to attend the second anniversary celebrations of the state government. The information was shared by Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari after a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at Lok Seva Bhavan on Thursday.
According to the minister, the state government will formally invite the Prime Minister to participate in the anniversary programme, while the final schedule will depend on his availability.
10-Day Anniversary Celebration from June 12
The Odisha government is planning to celebrate the completion of its second year in office with a 10-day statewide programme beginning on June 12. The celebrations will be organised in a simple and dignified manner at both the state and district levels.
The government aims to highlight its achievements, welfare initiatives and development works carried out during the past two years.
Department-Wise Report Cards to be Released
Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari also informed that from June 1, the Chief Minister will unveil report cards of all government departments. Following the release, ministers and departmental secretaries will address press conferences to provide details about the performance and achievements of their respective departments.
All ministers have reportedly been directed to submit their departmental report cards ahead of the celebrations.
High-Level Meeting Held at Lok Seva Bhavan
A review meeting regarding the anniversary celebrations was held at Lok Seva Bhavan under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. The meeting was attended by both Deputy Chief Ministers, the Law Minister, Revenue Minister, and Panchayati Raj Minister.
The state government is expected to finalise the detailed schedule and programmes in the coming days.
