Puri-Based YouTuber Denies Involvement in Espionage Case, Offers Full Cooperation to NIA

Clarification Issued Amid Allegations of Link with Pakistan-Related Spy Scandal

A 21-year-old YouTuber from Puri, known for her travel and religious content, has publicly denied any involvement in an alleged espionage case linked to Pakistani intelligence. The controversy emerged after the arrest of a social media influencer in Haryana, who has been accused of leaking classified information. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is currently probing the Puri-based vlogger’s connection to the accused.

YouTuber Claims Innocence, Emphasises Professional Relationship

In a video statement, the YouTuber clarified that she met the accused through social media platforms like YouTube and Instagram as part of collaborative content creation. She stated that their interactions were strictly professional and limited to creating travel videos. “We visited places like Jagannath Temple, Konark Sun Temple, and Chilika Lake as part of content work,” she said. She denied any joint travel to the Kartarpur Corridor in Pakistan, adding that her own earlier visit was part of a sponsored trip unrelated to the case.

Media Criticised for Sensational Coverage

Visibly distressed, the YouTuber slammed certain media houses for publishing what she termed “false and sensationalised” reports. She alleged that her photos were misused, and statements were attributed to her without consent. “I have never accepted money or favours from anyone involved. This narrative is damaging and baseless,” she said, accusing the media of manipulating facts for TRP.

NIA and Police Probe Underway, No Arrest Yet

Puri SP Vinit Agrawal confirmed that the YouTuber is being questioned and her digital and financial records are under scrutiny. However, no arrests have been made. “We are cooperating with the NIA and analysing her digital footprint,” the SP added. The YouTuber has assured full cooperation with the investigation being led by central and state agencies.

Accused’s Father Denies Spy Links, Urges Fair Probe

Meanwhile, the father of the arrested influencer has claimed his daughter is innocent and unaware of any espionage activity. “She is being wrongly dragged into this. We are cooperating with authorities,” he told reporters.
