Parliament to Get customised delivery app “Sansad Cafeteria” Soon
Bhubaneswar, (Odisha Connect): The members, staff and officers of the Indian parliament can now book and get delivered their favourite food in the Sansad premises without waiting in a long queue. A bespoke software called “Sansad Cafeteria” will shortly be released by the Indian Tourism and Development Corporation (ITDC), the entity in charge of managing a number of canteens and cooks, in order to address this.
Two officials with knowledge of the development said that the Indian Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) app Sansad Cafeteria, which was “soft launched” with Parliament staffers a few weeks ago, will soon be officially launched for all MPs, Parliament officers, and staff, providing them with a new and improved Parliament experience.

Although the prices in the parliament canteen have not been subsidised since 2021, the Hindustan Times stated that fish and chips cost merely Rs 100 and dosa cost Rs 30. The application will extend these rates.
Members and staff can use the application to order food and packages from the canteens and kitchens and have them delivered to the appropriate locations inside the building. They must select the appropriate building and food codes for the Parliament House, the Parliament House Annex, and the Parliament Library.
The Sansad Bhawan now has three operating canteens or kitchens, and members and workers must visit the canteen to eat there or take meals to go. Even though there are distinct canteens for members and ex-members, there is still a significant rush during peak hours.
