Parliamentary Affairs Minister Clarifies Schedule
Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju clarified that the ongoing Budget Session will not be suspended indefinitely as per the pre-decided schedule. Instead, a short break will be taken, followed by reconvening Parliament for a specific purpose.
Amendments to Women’s Reservation Law
Rijiju also indicated that the government plans to bring important amendments to the Women’s Reservation Act, 2023. A separate session will be convened at a later date for detailed discussions and legislative work.
Government to Reconvene Parliament Soon
The minister stated that Parliament will be adjourned temporarily and will be reconvened soon for specific legislative business, which has already been communicated to members in advance.
