Odisha Government to Mark 2nd Anniversary with Public Outreach, Welfare Focus and Departmental Achievement Campaigns from June 12 to 21
CM Mohan Majhi Calls for Simple and Meaningful Celebration
The Odisha government will celebrate the completion of its two years in office from June 12 to June 21 with a focus on public outreach and highlighting government achievements rather than grand festivities.
A preparatory meeting regarding the anniversary celebrations was held at Lok Seva Bhavan in Bhubaneswar under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister advised officials to organise the programme in a simple and dignified manner considering the current international situation and tensions in West Asia.
Government Achievements to Be Highlighted Across State
Instead of large-scale celebrations, the state government will focus on spreading awareness about its achievements and welfare initiatives over the past two years.
The Chief Minister stressed that the government’s success belongs to the people and therefore every effort should be made to ensure that the achievements reach citizens across the state.
To increase outreach, the government will use print media, electronic media and social media platforms. Booklets, leaflets and informational materials highlighting departmental achievements and welfare schemes will also be published.
Focus on Welfare Schemes and Public Benefits
Officials at the meeting discussed plans to showcase how people have benefited from various welfare schemes implemented by the government.
The administration aims to present real examples of development works and public welfare measures that have positively impacted citizens in different sectors.
Seven Major Themes Finalised for Anniversary Programme
The anniversary celebrations will be organised around seven key themes representing the state government’s development priorities. These include:
- Shakti Odisha
- Samruddha Krushi Odisha
- Sustha Odisha
- Nirman Odisha
- Utkarsha Odisha
- Janashakti Odisha
- Kaushal Odisha
The programmes will also highlight the government’s long-term vision and roadmap for Odisha from 2026 to 2036.
Ministers to Present Departmental Performance Reports
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi directed all departmental ministers to hold press conferences highlighting the achievements of their respective departments during the last two years.
Departments will also release brochures, reports and publications detailing their work and accomplishments.
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that these initiatives would help communicate the government’s vision for Odisha’s development and public welfare more effectively to the people.
Senior Ministers and Officials Attend Preparatory Meeting
The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Ministers Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida along with Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari, Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan, Panchayati Raj Minister Rabi Narayan Naik, senior advisors, the Chief Secretary and secretaries of various departments.
