Congress Leader Launches Sharp Attack on BJP Over Economy and Constitution

Congress MP and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi launched a strong attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah during his second day of visit to Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh.

Addressing a public gathering, Rahul Gandhi accused the central government of weakening the country’s economy and alleged that the Constitution was under threat. He also used sharp political language against the BJP leadership, calling them “betrayers.”

Rahul Warns of Economic Crisis

During his speech, Rahul Gandhi claimed that India’s economic situation could worsen further in the coming months.

He alleged that inflation would rise sharply and common people would face severe difficulties related to fuel, gas and agricultural supplies. According to him, farmers, youth and women would be the worst affected by the rising prices and economic instability.

Rahul Gandhi also accused the Modi government of favouring big industrialists and handing over the country’s resources to corporate groups.

Constitution Under Attack, Claims Rahul

The Congress leader further alleged that the values of the Indian Constitution were being weakened.

Referring to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, social reformer Veera Pasi and Mahatma Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi said their ideology and constitutional vision were not being protected properly.

He claimed that organisations linked to the RSS were openly attacking constitutional values and warned people not to remain silent over such issues.

According to Rahul Gandhi, the Constitution is not merely a book but an ideology built on equality, justice and democratic principles.

Targets Modi Over Policies and Corporate Links

Rahul Gandhi also criticised Prime Minister Modi over economic and policy matters.

He alleged that while the Prime Minister advises citizens against buying gold or travelling abroad, the government itself continues to promote policies benefiting large corporate houses.

The Congress leader further accused the BJP government of avoiding caste census and attempting to influence electoral processes.

He specifically named industrialists Adani and Ambani while alleging that the government was working in favour of powerful business groups.

Political Temperature Rises Ahead of Key Elections

Rahul Gandhi’s remarks are expected to intensify the political confrontation between the Congress and the BJP in the coming days.

The BJP has repeatedly rejected similar allegations made by opposition leaders in the past and has defended its policies as being focused on economic growth, welfare schemes and national development.

With major elections approaching in several states, political attacks between the ruling party and the opposition are becoming increasingly aggressive across the country.
