Tata Motors Launches New Compact Sedan ‘Tata Aries’ in India

Tata Motors has officially launched a new compact sedan, the Tata Aries, in the Indian automobile market. The car has been introduced with an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 5.29 lakh, while the top-end variant is priced at up to Rs 9.19 lakh.

The new sedan will be available with a petrol engine as well as Tata Motors’ twin-cylinder iCNG technology.

Premium Design and Exterior

The Tata Aries features a premium and modern exterior design, with a sleek front grille, sharp LED headlamps, sporty LED daytime running lights and connected-style LED tail lamps at the rear.

The sedan gets 15-inch alloy wheels and 170 mm of ground clearance, designed to offer better practicality on Indian roads and uneven surfaces.

Modern Features Inside the Cabin

The cabin of the Tata Aries comes equipped with several technology and comfort features.

Key features include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 360-degree surround-view camera, a digital driver’s display and an integrated dashcam.

The sedan also offers ventilated front seats, automatic climate control and rear AC vents.

Safety Features

For safety, the Tata Aries comes with six airbags, Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and ISOFIX child-seat anchors.

The combination of safety and technology features is aimed at making the compact sedan suitable for everyday urban driving as well as longer journeys.

Rivals in the Indian Market

The Tata Aries will compete in the compact sedan segment against established models such as the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura and Honda Amaze.
