Fortis Healthcare to Enter Odisha with 300-Bed Multi-Specialty Hospital in Cuttack
Fortis Healthcare signs an O&M agreement with Dion Group to develop its first major facility in Odisha, bringing advanced tertiary care to the Cuttack-Bhubaneswar corridor.
Fortis Healthcare has announced its entry into Odisha by signing an Operations and Management (O&M) agreement with the Bhubaneswar-headquartered Dion Group to establish a 300-bed greenfield multi-specialty hospital at Dion Riverside Township in Trishulia, Cuttack.
The upcoming hospital is expected to become one of the region’s key tertiary healthcare centres, offering advanced medical treatment and specialized care to patients from Odisha and neighbouring states. The project marks Fortis Healthcare’s first major presence in Odisha, strengthening its nationwide expansion strategy.
Dion Group, one of Odisha’s leading real estate and infrastructure developers, has built a strong presence through residential, commercial, and integrated township projects. The company has also been expanding into the hospitality and healthcare sectors.
The new healthcare facility will be strategically located along the rapidly developing Cuttack-Bhubaneswar corridor, making advanced medical services more accessible to people across eastern India. It is planned as a Centre of Excellence across multiple specialties and will provide comprehensive tertiary and quaternary care services.
The hospital will be equipped with advanced diagnostic facilities, critical care infrastructure, and specialized clinical programmes. Patients are expected to benefit from modern medical technology, experienced healthcare professionals, and treatment standards aligned with global best practices.
Fortis said the partnership is part of its broader growth strategy to expand quality healthcare services across India through a mix of brownfield expansion, operating and management agreements, and asset-light development models.
Once operational, the hospital is expected to significantly strengthen Odisha’s healthcare ecosystem by improving access to specialized treatment, reducing the need for patients to travel outside the state for complex medical procedures, and creating new opportunities for medical professionals, clinical research, and healthcare innovation.
The project is also expected to support the growing healthcare needs of the Cuttack-Bhubaneswar urban region while reinforcing Odisha’s position as an emerging destination for advanced medical care.
