Trump Warns Iran of Massive Retaliation as US Continues 11th Night of Airstrikes

As the United States continued its 11th consecutive night of airstrikes on Iran, US President Donald Trump issued a fresh and stern warning to Tehran, threatening devastating military action if any commercial vessel in the Strait of Hormuz is attacked.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said that any missile, rocket, drone, or other attack on commercial shipping in the strategic waterway would trigger a massive US response. He warned that the United States would target and destroy Iranian bridges, power plants, and other critical infrastructure, adding that even key installations in Tehran would not be spared.

Speaking later to reporters in the Oval Office, Trump also warned of an imminent strike on the underground nuclear facility under construction near Pickaxe Mountain, close to Natanz. Responding to reports that Iran may have relocated uranium enrichment centrifuges to the site, Trump said centrifuges alone were of little value without uranium and asserted that the US knows where Iran’s uranium is located.

Meanwhile, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said the latest overnight operation targeted Iranian military command centres, naval capabilities, fighter aircraft hangars, drone storage facilities, and military transport infrastructure. According to CENTCOM, the strikes concluded around 3:45 a.m. Iran time and were aimed at reducing Iran’s ability to threaten commercial shipping passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

Reports indicated that explosions were heard in Tehran, Tabriz, and several locations across southern Iran during the operation.

The United States has accused Iran of carrying out more than 30 attacks on commercial vessels in the past three months. Military operations involving the US and Israel have reportedly continued since February 28.

According to Iran’s Health Ministry, the ongoing US strikes have killed more than 50 people and injured over 500. Reports also indicate that 18 American soldiers have lost their lives since the conflict escalated.

The continued escalation has raised fears of a wider regional conflict, with global concerns growing over maritime security, energy supplies, and stability in the Middle East.
